The Right Step seeks an admissions counselor for our Houston Central facility. Specific requirements include the following:
Current Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC) licensure, Counselor Intern (CI) or related mental health licensure (bachelor’s or master’s degree preferred).
Understand the levels and components of treatment.
Able to demonstrate knowledge and application of the Texas Department of State Health Services' Substance Abuse Services' counselor and facility standards.
Able to maintain regular communication with all referral agencies to ensure regular referrals.
Maintain all clinical records so that they are current and meet/exceed DSHS standards.
Bilingual a Plus (English/Spanish)
Comprehensive understanding of insurance copays, deductibles, etc. a plus
