Parent and Child Residential Treatment
In response to the pressing need of parents to receive treatment for Addictive Disease and simultaneously care for their dependent children, Addiction Recovery Resources of New Orleans has developed the Parents with Children Program (PCP). We are able to provide care in an integrated program for single parents and up to two children age 10 or younger.
Addiction Recovery Resources helps with all aspects of keeping children safe and on track with their normal developmental challenges and milestones as their parent addresses the challenges of early recovery. Because we have recognized the many challenges to effective, positive parenting in the best of circumstances, our staff includes a parenting skills professional, educated in the area of helping parents to develop effective parenting and to repair the damages that can follow in the wake of active addiction. School and/or childcare activities are facilitated to ensure parents receive the help they need and deserve.
Having recognized the need for people with addictive disorders to manage their disease and be present for their children, the program is available for parents who would otherwise have to decide between treatment or their responsibilities to their children.
Some of the Services offered in the Parent and Child Residential Treatment Program are:

· · Supervised 12 -Step meeting attendance (child supervision provided)
