Ridgeview offers free psychiatric and addiction assessment and referral services for youth, young adults, adults, and older adults.  If treatment is advised, we can assist with admission to a Ridgeview program or recommend other treatment options in the community.

The Access Center clinical staff are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week,
to respond to calls.

When calling the Ridgeview Access Center to refer someone for a free assessment or hospital admission, please provide as much of the following information as possible so that we can best serve the patient.

• Your name, relationship to the patient, and phone number.
• A brief description of the patient's problem and why you are making the referral.
• Patient's name, date of birth, social security number, address, and phone number.
• Insurance company, insured's name, policy number, company phone number (if available)
• Any special instructions regarding treatment program, doctor preference, release of information, or follow-up with you if you are a clinician.
• What time we can schedule the patient to be seen.

ADMISSION/PATIENT INFORMATION
The assessment is the first step in the admission process.  The Access Center clinician will then select a Ridgeview physician (if the patient does not have one), check insurance benefits, and obtain the necessary authorization from the insurance company.  Typically, the admission process-including assessment-takes two to four hours; however, it may take longer depending upon the insurance company's requirements.
