Spiritual Treatment Based On The Word Of GodOur Five-Point Treatment Plan is one of the most intensive and complete programs for the healing development of Christian families with troubled loved ones. We address specific areas of life. The following components make up our Spiritual Treatment Plan:
One-On-One Therapy
One-on-one sessions are at the heart of our success. These vital times of ministry take place during frequent intervals on the platform of informal settings. We believe it is next to impossible to break off defense mechanisms and open hardened hearts within a clinical setting. For this reason, our mentors and pastoral counselors take a personal interest with each student, thereby fostering trust and relationship.
The Team Treatment Approach
Each week, our staff works together as a team to provide a complete therapeutic treatment plan to each client, both one-on-one and in group sessions. Further, our staff regularly meets together to discuss each client's progress and to plan each program for the student's remaining time with us. That level of intensive care is extremely hard to find. There is a tremendous benefit in having a team effort in providing treatment, as each team member is able to pool their experience as they discuss how they can best help each student achieve success.
Our Belief About Addiction Recovery
Throughout the recovery industry, there is a belief that addiction is an incurable disease; thus the saying, "once and addict, always an addict". This belief results in a life-long attempt to manage the addiction rather than seek to permanently cure it. The mental health industry may treat the surface effects of addiction through psychotropic medication rather than the root causes. The Bible teaches that the sins of the fathers are passed down to generations. This supports the idea that the curse and disease of sin can be passed down. However, Christ gave His life on the cross in order to redeem us from this curse and to heal "all manner of disease". We believe that a recovering addict may choose to become a new creation in Christ, and has no need to confess that they are current addicts, rather former addicts.
Physical Fitness & Recreation
Our physical fitness program includes indoor and outdoor sports such as volleyball, basketball, swimming, hiking and more. Good physical condition is essential to good health. Many who have been involved in abusing their bodies through drug and/or alcohol use have become physically deteriorated. It is a welcome change to begin to feel strong again, and it is a great self-esteem booster
